Location Details
- Our camp site is in Crooked River State Park near St. Marys, GA. The address is:
- 6222 Charlie Smith Sr Hwy, St. Marys, GA 31558
- Follow the signs for the Pioneer Camping Area.
- We will be camping in a primitive camping area with grills, fire rings, pit toilets, showers, plus adirondack (3-sided) shelters with picnic tables. We won’t have electricity but are working to secure a generator for minimal use.
- There are also cottages available in the state park. We are providing the reservation for the tent camp/camp area so if you would like a cottage you need to make that reservation and cover that cost. If you do stay in the cottage area we will reduce our camp cost to $400. We would recommend reserving that as soon as possible if you would rather not tent camp. gastateparks.reserveamerica.com
Travel
- You are welcome to depart on the morning of January 2nd, or stay for an additional day to visit different sight-seeing places nearby. You will be on your own for this day however we are working to secure discounts and different options for the families that stay.
- We have some flexibility on the camp reservations before and after camp dates/times. We also have some flexibility on airport shuttles but would love to minimize trips to the airport. With that in mind, please communicate your expected plans with Jenna before finalizing or purchasing tickets. Contact Jenna at 706-340-1757.
- For those driving:
- Please arrive at Crooked River State Park by 4pm on Sunday, December 29th.
- Please plan to depart on January 2nd or 3rd (see above for details)
- For those flying:
- Airport pickup and dropoff is available from Orlando International Airport (OIA), Orlando Sanford (SFB) and Jacksonville (JAX).
- Please plan to fly into one of these airports on December 29th and fly out on January 2nd or 3rd (see above for details)
- Once your travel plans are finalized, please email Jenna at boldacts2831@gmail.com to confirm your flight times and arrange pickup/dropoff.
Meals
- Bold will be providing dinners for everyone, but you will provide meals for your family for breakfasts and lunches. We will provide coffee, hot chocolate, and tea and snacks for general use.
- We will provide a cookware set (propane stove, fire ring, skillets, mixing bowls, utensils, etc) and a cooler for each family to use. We will also provide ice during camp.
- If you are flying in, please let us know and we will make arrangements to help you get groceries once you arrive.
- Additionally, please fill out the portion of the registration form that details any dietary restrictions or allergies for your family.
Activities
- Each day of camp will vary, but we will have worship, family time, sharing times, and community dinner each day.
- We will also do some beach activities together and the cost of these activities are included in your registration fee.
- We will also be doing a number of games, challenges, and obstacles for the kids and young adults specifically, with optional parent participation.
Extra day
- You are welcome to stay the night of January 2 at no additional cost, and then depart on the morning of January 3rd.
- Each family will be responsible to pay for whatever fees for activities they choose for this day, however we will work to secure group discounts for some of the options. More to come!
